gFamily FL Trip Day 1

The first full day of our FL trip was a laid back day since we didn't get to bed until midnight the day before and we planned to spend the following day at Magic Kingdom. We drove to Cocoa beach to watch a shuttle launch that never took off due to clouds and wind. While disappointed, we still very much enjoyed the beach! The boys LOVE the beach and could spend hours digging in the sand and playing in the waves. We made them wear life vests while playing in the waves because they were very strong! We didn't have to worry about Gilli in the waves because she didn't get near them! In fact, she cried loud enough for the whole beach to hear her because she didn't want the boys in the waves either! She kept yelling, "Daddy come back! Grant come back!" Oh sweet girl! She loves the boys in her life!

At first I was impressed with Gillian because she didn't seem to mind the sand. But, once it was stuck to her, she began asking for wipes! Hilarious! After she realized that I wasn't going to hand out hundreds of wipes, she left to go play in the sand some more! She ended up enjoying herself!

Surfs UP!

That evening we went to Downtown Disney and enjoyed the T-Rex restaurant! I wish we had pictures because it was amazing!! Gillian LOVES dinosaurs so she wasn't scared at all when the dinos would ROAR! And, of course, the boys thought it was so cool! After dinner we headed to Once Upon A Toy so the boys could make Light Sabers. Grady had been saving money and talking about this very activity for months! He was just thrilled to make his very own blue light saber! Grant made a green light saber and enjoyed the process as well! Gillian and I strolled through the store and visited the little girls room at least 5 times! This is the night we decided to buy pull ups and make Gillian wear them for the remainder of the trip! GASP!! ;) It was a great first day, and we were super excited to head to the Magic Kingdom the following day!
