We took a big leap of faith one year ago and signed on with our adoption agency. It is hard to believe that we have been in this process for one year now!! It has been a long year, and we have grown in so many ways! We have gained faith! God was SO faithful in providing for the costs of the adoption!! We have gained some new friendships! I rely so much on those that are going through or have gone through this process! We have grown closer to our kids as we understand just what a gift they are to us everyday!! We have grown sad at times as we miss our little girl so much!! We have grown weary at times as this process has been long and difficult. We have grown closer to God as we rely on Him each day for strength to make it to the end! We are getting closer each day to the end, and we know that our Lord will bring Gillian home soon!

You've said it perfectly! As difficult as the road is, I wouldn't change it for anything. The Lord is faithful in His promises and He will bring our babies home and He is molding us, making us more Christ-like through this experience. (James 1:2-4). Praise him for that!

I remember sitting in my car talking to you on my cell phone for a long time at the beginning of Jan. last year as you were trying to decide if God was leading you to adopt. A lot has happened in the last year! I know you are so tired of this journey right now, but I promise you when you tuck in that little Guat. beauty every night once she is home, it will ALL be worth it. Praying for you.
