We have now officially been on the wait list for 13 weeks for baby Gillian, and we have good news. Our agency called tonight to let us know.... that we only have one document to redo in our dossier!! I know you were all expecting our referral and pictures of Gillian, but this really is good news! Amanda, our coordinator said that the next phone call we get from her will be for our referral, and she did say that we are getting close! Yeah!!! I am so excited because the one document we have to redo has nothing to do with anything we did wrong. Several families have been getting kicked out of PGN within the last two weeks because of the word "adoption counselor" instead of social worker on the home study sign off. In other words, the person who did our home study titled themselves as an adoption counselor instead of a social worker and that is not being translated well into Guatemala. Yes, this sounds crazy, but just wait!! I am sure you will hear several crazy things from us as we travel on this journey. The process is a roller coaster, but at least we may have prevented a PGN kick out. This is really exciting for me because that is one of my biggest fears in the process. I fear being "stuck" in PGN until someone decides to let us out. Maybe now that I have typed it, it won't come true. We will all see in a few months. So yes, this may not be the news you want, but it is good news to me! Please keep Gillian and her birth mom in your prayers! Thank you!
