Grady's New Bed??

Just about every night Grady gets out of his bed to tell us something, go potty, get a drink, find a toy, and whatever else he can think of to keep from going to sleep. This is something he has done since he escaped from his crib a year ago. Now he is in a twin bed and shares a room with his big bro who NEVER gets out of bed. Grant usually goes right to sleep and stays in bed all night long. Grady, even though he gets punished and sent back to bed, just won't stay in his bed. We still have a monitor in their room for this very reason.

So, yesterday Grady had a two hour nap, which is way too long for him now. So last night we battled him getting out of bed at least 10 times. We thought he was finally asleep as it was 10:30 pm, so I talked on the phone and then fell asleep on the couch while Gerald ate some popcorn and did some late night work. Around midnight Gerald woke me up to tell me that he was done, and we could go to bed. This is what I found as I rounded the corner to go up the stairs...


Yes, we are very lucky that he did not fall down the stairs after he fell asleep. We will be locking that gate at the top of the stairs now!! Our Grady Monster sure keeps us laughing, even at midnight!!! What a funny little guy! I am guessing that someday we won't be able to get him out of his bed, and now we would do anything to just get him to STAY there!
