Skiing With Dad

This past week, the boys and I (Gerald) traveled to Perfect North Slopes for a day of skiing. Grant and Grady were ecstatic because this meant a day out of school. Grant told his teacher he was going skiing and to his surprise she said she wished she could go skiing during school. He thought that was funny.

The day started out a little slow as they worked to get comfortable on skis again on the bunny slopes and then conquer their fears on the green circle slopes (easy hills). By the end of the day, the boys were enjoying the blue square slopes. I was a little nervous to let them go freely, but having helmets really helped settle my nerves. The boys became fearless, and now they are looking forward to our skip trip out west.

This photo says it all...

One of the highlights of the day for Grant was riding the ski lift by himself. He really felt like a big shot.

As usual, Grady was free spirited, fun loving and he just had a blast all day long. He really loves his new helmet that has dinosaur bones on the side of it.

Awesome, Gerald! I wish someone would've taught me to ski because I never went until college (and by then there was no way I was getting off the bunny slope!) LOL! Looks like a great day and I'd love to take all the kids tubing at Perfect North together sometime! I got to spend time with your wifey that day, so it was fun for those of us who stayed home. :)

I love the photos and the bravery of children! =)

I must tell you that I really appreciated your encouraging comment on my blog and your kind words. It was truly a perfectly time gift from God - bet you didn't know that! Thank you.

I can't wait for Created for Care next year either.

I can only imagine how hard this period of time is for you. I am feeling all sorts of stuff and have only been in this wait for 5 months. Praying for continued hope and peace for you!
