6 Months and Counting

As of today, we have been waiting 6 months for our sweet Gia in Ethiopia! It's hard to believe that it's been 6 months! Sometimes I feel like it's going fast and other days it has been so long that it doesn't even feel real! We can't wait to find out her age, her story, and of course see her beautiful brown eyes! We are waiting for a 0-24 month old, so we don't even know how to prepare her bed yet. Will we need a crib, or will she be close enough to age 2 to put her in a twin bed? Other questions that take me straight to my knees are, "Is she hungry? Is she being held and cuddled?" But, I have peace in knowing that wherever she is right now, she is being held by the Lord in His ever faithful hands! We are praying for you sweet girl, and we all love you so much!!

I have been checking the blog for any news on baby girl Gia. I can't wait to hear that you have her referral. I will pray for her safety and health while in Ethiopia.

This time around is so much different, is it? However, the anxiety and excitment we feel is always there. You've been such a mellow yellow throughout this process, it's fun to watch you start to get more and more excited as the time approaches...Just a few few months until you're holding your new baby girl (whether she be 9 months old or 2 years old). Time will tell, and regardless we will be spoiling her rotten. I'm praying for Gia whether she's already born in or still in utero - her little spirit is already here on Earth. Very cool. Can't wait to be a new auntie. Love you!
