First Time Skiing

Grant, Grady and I(Gerald) braved the weather during a pretty decent snow storm and took a trip to Perfect North Slopes to go skiing. Although the weather was awful for driving, it was great for skiing. Grant and Grady started their day off taking lessons for 1 hour. I asked the boys if they enjoyed the lessons and their response was less than positive. I think they were itching to ride the chairlifts to the top and go down the hills. So, I took the boys to the top of the green hill, which is a beginner hill. They started out pretty decent, for their first time, falling about 2 or 3 times, which is not bad for their first real hill. After about 5 runs, they both were doing great and they basically conquered the green hill. They were both ready for bigger and better things. So, I took them to the next size hill which was not quite big enough to be consider a blue but it was bigger than the beginner hill. After struggling down the hill, we decided to go back to the beginner hill for about 10 more runs. They did fabulous and we had a blast. I look forward to going next year and then taking them to Tahoe some day with me.

YAY! I love skiing and it's so fun to see your boys smiling and hearing of their successes on the hill! It's such a great family sport that all of you can do in the years to come. Can't wait to see Gilly on the hill next year!!!
