King's Island '09

Every year we travel to the north-east side of Cincinatti to enjoy King's Island with our boys (Gilli gets to go next year). Each year, we seem to have more fun as the boys get to discover new rides as they get taller. Also, the boys love having Uncle Andrew and Aunt Heidi with us at King's Island. I (Gerald) personally need to thank Andrew as he rode the Vortex with Grant multiple times. I don't know that I would have survived going upside down that many times in one day.
Grant and Grady meet Scooby Doo

It's very strange to see Grady riding the big rides. He loves King's Island and he loves rollercoasters

Grant graduated to the big rides this year including the Beast, Son of Beast, Drop Tower, Flight Deck (a.k.a Top Gun), Backlot Stunt Coaster (a.k.a the Italian Job) and last but not least he enjoyed the Vortex at least 9 times. He's no longer our little boy, but it's a lot of fun riding those rides with him.

King's Island brings out the best in Grant and Grady. They love the rides and most of all they enjoy them together.

I want to add to Gerald's post... On the way to King's Island we stopped at Jenny and Ben's home to spend time with their family. They are very dear friends that do not live close enough!!(Hint, hint!!) :) We all went to TU together, but our friendship has become so close just in the last few years! We talk about our crazy lives with our children on the way into Target or during carpool to school. We talk about adoption and orphans and our love for Guatemala. We talk about the laundry piling up and the funny things our kids say! We talk so often that she feels like she is next door and not an entire state away! I guess we will just have to live closer when our Guate tots get married! ;) Thanks, Jenny, for being such a real, Godly friend! Love you!

Looks like so much fun, Gretch! Can't wait until we can go. So cute that your boys are fearless roller coaster riders! They look so tiny on those big 'ol rides.

Andrew was very glad that Grant could ride all of the roller coasters with him, and I loved hanging out with Grady this year!:)
