At this time last year, we were settling back into our routine after arriving home from Guatemala. We had been home a couple weeks from our second visit trip to see Gilli and were so excited to be back with our boys to celebrate the Birth of Our Savior. There were cards to be mailed, presents to be wrapped, and a birthday cake for Jesus to be made. Even with all the fun things we had planned, there was still a pit in our stomachs. We had just left our precious daughter behind, and even though she was in wonderful hands, we were not there with her.
This is a picture of Gillian in front of the Christmas Tree as we were handing her back to her wonderful foster mother.
We are so thankful that she is home this year to celebrate with us. She makes us laugh all the time with her funny expressions. She also makes our hearts melt with her sweet cuddles and kisses. She is just so loving!!
Gilli-bean loves her new baby doll from Great Grandma Hart! And notice that she is holding her lovey bunny too!
We pray everyday for the babies that are still in Guatemala and our hearts break for their families! Please say a prayer for Kinsey and Nola today! We are praying and believing that they will be home with their families in 2009!

Love that outfit on Gilly. Can't believe how much she's grown, yet still looks the same! (with more funny facial expressions, that is!) :)
BTW, I got your card today in the mail. You are SOOOO super sweet. Sorry I didn't get a chance to call you back.
Love you!
Isn't it funny how times now flies that you have your daughter home and the time you waited for her seemed to creep along? What sweet pictures! I hope Grant taught Gillian to color on only paper:) Merry Christmas!
