Gerald and I took off last Wednesday all by ourselves to take a nice quick trip to Michigan. We were traveling there to see Gerald's roommate from college, Jeremy, his wife Lynn, and their adorable daughter Abigail. We picked Jeremy and Lynn up from the Grand Rapids Airport and then traveled an hour north to Jeremy's parent's cabin. The cabin was beautiful, and his parents were so welcoming with great food and hospitality! Jeremy's parents picked blueberries before we arrived, so we enjoyed blueberry pancakes, two blueberry desserts and fresh blueberries at every meal! Yum!! We so enjoyed catching up with Jeremy and Lynn and playing with little Abigail. Gerald and I shared some firsts as Gerald tried water skiing and I tried tubing. Water skiing proved to be a challenge, but we both enjoyed tubing! I also enjoyed laying in a hammock while reading a book, sleeping in a little, and the little shops at Pentwater, MI. We also found some great fresh Norwegian salmon at a little store in the middle of nowhere and enjoyed a quick trip to a Peach Orchard that was on the most beautiful farm I have ever seen! So, a big thank you to Jeremy, Lynn, Richard, and Connie for a wonderful and relaxing two days! Gerald misses you already, Jeremy!

Also, a HUGE thank you to my wonderful mom and dad who watched our boys and even our dog! :) They have so much fun there and NEVER want to leave! My mom always says, "Thank you for letting me have the boys." I am glad that she enjoys them so much!!

Gretchen,
Sounds like you guys had a great getaway. Isn't is wonderful when you can get away and have parents who are willing to watch your kids and you can just trust that they are in good hands? Well, now that you're back we'll hope this will be the week for a referral for you guys! I'll talk to you soon.
Love, Jenny
Looks like a great time!!
