Potty Training Progress

Grady has been potty training since Monday, and it is going pretty well! He has had maybe one or two potty accidents since then! He even told us at the movie theater that he needed to go potty. It made us happy that he told us he had to go because usually we just take him every hour and he stays dry. Going "number two" in the toilet is all together different. We haven't accomplished that once! Big BUMMER!!! I know he understands because one day after having an accident, he was on his way out the door to go back outside to play, and he turned around and said, "Mommy, we do not poop in our pants because it is dangerous! It is a NO, NO!!" He even used his finger to point it at me to give the lecture more meaning! :) He is so funny!! It was a good lecture.... I haven't had one accident since! :) I wonder if he knows it is dangerous because it makes his mommy so crazy!! Gerald let him pick out an articulated dump truck at Target last night. It is now sitting on top of the microwave until "number two" goes in the toilet. He will get it! I am just excited to be done with diapers during the day. We are almost there!! Wish us luck, and we will let you know when we are finished. Anyone that knows us well, knows that potty training is a sore subject in our house! It took two years with Grant and a specialist to get it done. We felt very defeated, but God was good, and we learned some much needed patience!! I don't think it will take two years this time. I am hoping for two weeks!

Ten weeks and waiting for our little Gilli! We are getting closer and keeping busy during the wait. We do keep wondering if she is born yet and with her foster mom. Pray for her health and good care! Our agency is finally giving out referrals to those who went on the list in April. We are in that group of people, but at the bottom of the April club. We went on the girl waiting list on April 26th, so it will still be a little longer. We can't wait!
