Art Show and Basketball

Grant made the district wide Art Show again this year. We went over to the high school to find his work and look at all the other wonderful pieces. His piece was titled, The Great Wave. He really loves art!! We spoke with his art teacher, and she says he is such a joy to have in her class. I am glad he has found something that he enjoys so much at school!!

Grant also really enjoyed this season of basketball! The last time he played, he was only 4, and his whole goal was to be the first person down the court. If that didn't happen, a melt down would follow. I have to admit, I was a little nervous when he expressed an interest in trying it again. But, 4 years later and a lot of maturity, he did a great job and really enjoyed the game! It was great to see him smile on the court and give us a thumbs up sign when his shot went in the basket.
Gerald helped coach the team and enjoyed time with Grant.
Meeting the opponent
Dribbling down the court
He shoots and SCORES!!!

Grant is so fabulously artistic! That is definitely his gift! It's sad to think how many K-12 districts will get rid of art when the budgets get tight - when it means SO MUCH to kids, especially like Grant.

Glad basketball season went better this year! LOL! Cute shots!
