I had to laugh... I just went back and read the gingerbread post from last year. I talked about how I wanted the house to be "just right" with varying colors and nice neat icing! Ha ha ha ha ha ha! Where did that person go? I talked about how next year I wanted the boys to have more fun just decorating it however they want. They definitely did just that, with Gillian included this year! I guess the kids really have taught me a lot! This year I said, "Go to it, and I will take some pics!" It probably helps too that they are all a year older and Gerald was there to help!
Grant and Grady got right into the decorating this year like old pros!
Grant decorated his gingerbread man with red and green icing and an orange candy, of course!
Grady made his man with green and red icing with LOTS of blue candy, of course!
Gilli sneaking a few pieces of candy with a grin on her face! Hilarious!
Gerald helped Grady use icing to get his gingerbread man to stand on top of the house.... right where he wanted it! LOL
SO fun to have a girl! Gilli did exactly what I would have been doing! She spent time daintily putting pieces of candy all over the house in just the right spots and then sneaking more to eat! I couldn't have been more proud!

And, we're all done! It is kidtastic! I LOVE IT!!!! It's even more beautiful than last year!!!

It's perfect. I just stood back and let my kids do their own thing this time too. It turned out really cute and they actually enjoyed it instead of me trying to make it **perfect**
At least us mom DO learn :)
