One Year Ago

Gillian,

One year ago today, we saw your sweet face for the very first time!  Even though it was just a picture, we already loved you with our whole hearts!  We were thrilled to finally see you and know the details surrounding your birth!  It was such a joyous day that we had waited for so long to come!  The beautiful picture of you at just a few days old warmed our hearts!  God picked you to be such a special part of our family!  We celebrated that day by going to get ice cream and then praying for you.  We prayed that you would be safe, healthy, and that you would come home to us very soon!  God answered all of those prayers as you had the very best care, and you came home in God's perfect timing!   

What a difference a year makes!  Now our sweet baby doesn't look much like a baby with that long, black hair!

You love to play ball!  You roll the ball back and forth with your brothers!

You are starting to explore the house by crawling everywhere.

At one year old, you love to give your baby doll kisses, kiss mommy, hug your brothers, snuggle with dada and bunnies.  You also love to do whatever mommy is doing.  You helped unload all the utensils out of the dishwasher last week!  Your favorite books are Touch and Feel and you could read them over and over again!  You love to play cars with your brothers.  You play kitchen with Grady and use a spoon and cup to pretend you are eating.  You love to eat sweets and cried at the Dip and Dots Ice Cream store when mommy's ice cream was gone!  You get very upset when mommy puts you down!!!  You put your head to the floor and cry.  Grant taught you to say, "Yes!" and shake your head up and down.  You think Grady is hysterical no matter what he does!  You give the best hugs as you lay your head on my shoulder and pat my back!  You are such a sweet girl and we are so blessed to have you as our daughter and little sister!  We love you Gilli Claire!!!
