We received word tonight that the 2nd DNA test for Gillian has been authorized. In the adoption world, this is referred to as "orange". This also means that the birth certificate and passport have been obtained. We won't know the official dates of our BC and passport until our Monday update comes via email. So, the 2nd DNA test will be taken next week sometime and then the results will come within 5-7 business days. The results are then sent to the US Embassy, and we will receive our "Pink" within 5-7 business after that. "Pink" tells us our Embassy appt. date. We then can make our travel plans to go and pick up Gillian. Very exciting stuff!! We are getting so close!

You are going to be getting on a plane soooo soon. What a relief to have your BC issued and know that she officially has your last name and now the 2nd DNA can be done. I had so much fun shopping for her yesterday. I wished we lived closer so we could go together. Looks like we may have to plan a shopping weekend sometime!
