Last Day of Vacation

We had a great FL vacation! We will miss our time at the beach and pool! This was Grady's first time at the beach and he loved it! Hopefully the next time we go, we will have Gillian, and she can experience her first time!!

And I have to share this story from our last day because it makes my mom laugh hysterically! She made me promise to share it with all of you! Grant was having a rough time on the day we flew out of FL because he dropped his favorite orange shell on the tile floor and it broke. For those of you who know Grant well, you know that is enough to ruin a large portion of his day!! We stopped at a restaurant on the way to the airport for lunch and Grant ordered Sprite. This restaurant did not have Sprite, they had Sierra Mist. Grant did not understand that this was the exact same drink, so because he was already in a rotten mood, this made things much worse for him. When the waitress put his drink down she said, "Here is your Sierra Mist." He responded(after she left) by saying very angrily, "Can someone please tell that kind lady that I don't speak spanish!" He must have thought that the word "Sierra" sounded spanish, and he just wasn't understanding that his drink would taste just the same. After a long discussion outside with his momma about his lovely attitude, Grant drank all of his "spanish" drink! I think he may have even enjoyed it! But he would never say so!! ;) The joy of a strong willed child... we sure love our little buddy!! :)

So happy together

Oh, thank you for making me laugh today! That story is too cute!! I love the things that kids say, and I may have to start calling Sierra Mist "the Spanish Sprite".
