First Call to Guatemala

Yesterday, I showed up to my first Wednesday morning women's study at church and met several new women. In my small group of ten, there is one woman who is adopted, two women who have adopted children, and one woman from Guatemala. Does anyone else see the connection here?? There was also one woman I already knew that I had been in a study with before. I prayed that I would at least know one person, and God gave me that one person and so many connections with four other women. I just think God is SO awesome!!

Anyway, back to the title of this blog.... We called Guatemala tonight with the help of my new friend from my women's bible study. She was so kind to take the time to translate our call. We found out that Gillian is a very big eater!! She is already 8 lbs!! Our foster mother also said she is healthy and happy! She received our packages and said that Gillian will be wearing an outfit that we sent down in her next picture. She even said that she looks like a princess in the little dress! Awww! She told us that she is grateful for the opportunity to take care of Gillian during this time. I am so thankful for her and the great care she is giving to Gillian! What an answer to prayer!! Again, God is so awesome!!
